About Samsung Medical Center

The Samsung Medical Center was founded in 1994 and has introduced to the medical world the concepts of “patient-centered” and “customer satisfaction” in the research and treatment services. Among the steps to achieve this vision is the Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Center, established to Develop of novel treatments through researches on stem cell and regenerative medicine. This soon to be Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Institute currently researches and provides training in the fields of dementia and degenerative brain disease, incurable diseases of preterm infants, peripheral nerve disorders, spinal cord damage, hepatocyte regeneration, blood vessel disease, intractable diabetes, kidney disease, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, brain tumor, transplantation immunity, and hair loss and skin regeneration.
