The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology began its journey in 1891 aided by the Government of Kenya and The Government of Japan. The university focuses on the application of education for Training, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for development. The university runs with the philosophy to translate education into practice to suit the needs of the dynamic world. The objectives of the university is to enhance education and stimulate the intellectual participation of students in the development of the nation economically, technologically, agriculturally and culturally.
