About China Academy of Engineering Physics

China Academy of Engineering Physics is a research institute established in 1958. The organization began with the aim to promote research, development, and testing of nuclear weapons and related science. More than 12 research institutes and 15 national key laboratories have been part of this organization. The institute pursues academic excellence in the subjects of theoretical physics, plasma physics, engineering and material sciences, electronics and photo-electronics, materials chemistry and chemical engineering, computer science, and computational mathematics among its diverse set of research areas.
