APC Waiver & Fee Support Policy
JBRES recognizes that many researchers and institutions operate with limited funding. As a Gold Open Access journal, we ensure published articles are freely available to the global community. To keep publishing accessible, we provide waivers and fee-support options for eligible authors—without compromising peer-review standards or editorial integrity.
Eligibility Overview
Waivers are assessed using recognized economic classifications (e.g., World Bank country income groups) and/or documented funding limitations. If you are unsure about eligibility, you may apply—our team will guide you.
Authors from Low-Income Countries may be granted up to 75% waiver, based on eligibility and review outcome.
Authors from Lower Middle-Income Countries may be granted up to 40% waiver, based on eligibility and review outcome.
If you have no funding or face financial constraints (institutional delay, sanctions, project limits), you may request fee support with a brief explanation and evidence (if available).
How to Request a Waiver
To request a waiver/discount, email our editorial office. Your request should be clear and brief—this helps us process it quickly.
