This means every accepted article is published with immediate, free, and permanent access for readers worldwide. To sustain editorial operations, professional production, DOI registration, hosting, and archiving, JBRES is supported by Article Processing Charges (APCs).
Discounts & Fee Support
JBRES supports authors with insufficient funding through discounts and fee-support options. If your manuscript meets our quality standards and passes peer review, you may request a discount based on eligibility criteria. We actively work with research communities, institutions, and funders to promote fair access to publishing.
Authors without grants or institutional APC support may request discounts after peer review.
We collaborate with institutions and organizations to support open dissemination for quality research.
Peer review focuses on quality and scientific value—fee support requests are handled separately and fairly.
Why an APC is Required
JBRES is a non-funded open access publisher. We do not receive subscription income for article access. APCs help cover the operational costs required to publish and preserve scholarly content in a stable, citable, long-term format.
Cost of Rejections
JBRES does not set fixed acceptance or rejection targets. Decisions are based solely on editorial evaluation and peer review.
