Special Issue Title

Skin & Scalp Science: Dermatology, Trichology, and Clinical Care

This Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences (JBRES) invites high-quality submissions that strengthen the evidence base for dermatologic and trichologic care. We welcome work that advances diagnosis & mechanisms, develops regenerative & targeted therapies, and demonstrates clinical & real-world effectiveness across diverse skin types and conditions.

Dermatology & Skin Disorders
Atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne/rosacea, skin of color considerations, microbiome, inflammatory pathways, targeted biologics.
Trichology & Scalp Health
Alopecia areata/androgenetic, scarring alopecias, seborrheic dermatitis, hair shaft disorders, regenerative therapies (PRP/exosomes), JAK inhibitors.

About this Special Issue

Dermatology and trichology research is strongest when it connects precise diagnosis with innovative interventions and meaningful patient outcomes. This Special Issue focuses on skin & scalp science—from common inflammatory disorders and hair loss to microbiome roles, regenerative approaches, and equitable care in diverse populations. We especially welcome submissions that report transparent methods, practical endpoints, and insights that can improve diagnosis, treatment access, and long-term skin/scalp well-being.

Preference is given to studies with clear outcomes (lesion clearance, hair regrowth, quality-of-life), robust analysis, and a concise “What this changes in practice” statement.
