RespiraScience: Lung Health, Pulmonary Care & Translational Studies

This Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences (JBRES) invites high-quality submissions that strengthen the evidence base for lung health and pulmonary diseases. We welcome work that advances biomarkers & precision tools, clarifies disease mechanisms, and demonstrates translational & real-world effectiveness across diverse respiratory conditions and care settings.

Biomarkers & Precision Tools
Blood eosinophils, FeNO, sputum transcriptomics, ECM remodeling markers, ctDNA, AI-driven diagnostics, predictive signatures.
Pulmonary Care & Translation
COPD/asthma biologics, ILD/fibrosis therapies, RSV/pneumonia interventions, digital monitoring, exacerbation prevention, implementation science.

About this Special Issue

Pulmonary research is strongest when it connects biomarker insights with therapeutic innovation and practical outcomes. This Special Issue focuses on lung health & translational pulmonology—from precision management of COPD, asthma, and ILD to emerging therapies for fibrosis and infections, and policy-relevant translation. We especially welcome submissions that report transparent methods, robust endpoints, and insights that can improve respiratory care, equity, and long-term well-being.

Preference is given to studies with clear outcomes (exacerbation rates, FEV1, DLCO, progression-free survival), robust analysis, and a concise “What this changes in practice” statement.
