Special Issue Title

Immunity & Infection: Vaccines, Pathogens, and Immune Response

This Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences (JBRES) invites high-quality submissions that strengthen the evidence base for vaccines and immune responses to pathogens. We welcome work that elucidates innate & adaptive mechanisms, develops next-generation vaccines, and demonstrates clinical & real-world effectiveness against emerging infections and antimicrobial-resistant threats.

Immune Mechanisms & Responses
Innate training/memory, adaptive T/B-cell responses, mucosal/systemic immunity, trained immunity, adjuvants, systems vaccinology.
Vaccines & Pathogens
mRNA/nucleic acid platforms, universal/broadly protective vaccines, emerging pathogens, AMR resistance, mucosal delivery, translational trials.

About this Special Issue

Immunology and vaccinology are strongest when they connect mechanistic insights with practical protection against pathogens. This Special Issue focuses on immunity & infection—from innate/adaptive responses and pathogen biology to next-generation vaccines, adjuvants, and policy-relevant translation. We especially welcome submissions that report transparent methods, robust endpoints, and insights that can improve prevention, equity, and long-term control of infectious diseases.

Preference is given to studies with clear outcomes (protection, immunogenicity, durability), robust analysis, and a concise “What this changes in practice” statement.
