Special Issue Title

Healthy Aging: Biology of Aging, Care Models & Longevity Research

This Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences (JBRES) invites high-quality submissions that strengthen the evidence base for healthy aging and longevity. We welcome work that elucidates biological mechanisms & biomarkers, evaluates longevity interventions, and demonstrates effective care models & real-world impact across diverse populations and settings.

Biology & Biomarkers
Hallmarks of aging, epigenetic clocks, cellular senescence, mitochondrial function, inflammation markers, multi-omics signatures.
Care Models & Interventions
Integrated geriatric care, community-based models, lifestyle & gerotherapeutic interventions, frailty prevention, healthspan extension.

About this Special Issue

Aging research is strongest when it connects biological insights with practical interventions and equitable outcomes. This Special Issue focuses on healthy aging—from the biology and hallmarks of aging to biomarkers, longevity-promoting strategies, care delivery models, and policy-relevant translation. We especially welcome submissions that report transparent methods, meaningful endpoints, and insights that can improve resilience, reduce frailty, and extend healthy life expectancy.

Preference is given to studies with clear outcomes (healthspan metrics, frailty indices, functional status), robust analysis, and a concise “What this changes in practice” statement.
