Abd-Elsayed graduated from Medical School in Egypt in 2000. He was then hired as a faculty at the Public health Department where he finished his Master Degree. Dr. Abd-Elsayed moved to USA in 2008 to work at Cleveland Clinic as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Department of Anesthesiology. Between2009-2013, he performed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Cincinnat then joined the same program for pain Fellowship that was completed in 2014. Dr. Abd-Elsayed joined the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and he is currently an assistant professor at the Department, the Medical Director of the UW Pain Clinic and the Medical Director of the UW pain services. Dr. Abd-Elsayed published more than 70 peer reviewed articles, 4 book chapters, more than 100 presentations, and several editorials. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for many journals.

Dr Bekker is an internationally recognized expert in neuroanesthesia and is frequently invited to speak at Grand Rounds and Scientific Panels. Dr. Bekker has been active in research for many years. He is the author of 92 peer reviewed publications, 6 US patents, 32 educational reviews and more than 100 abstracts. His work has focused on perioperative brain protection, neuroinflammation, and clinical pharmacology. Dr Bekker was a PI of numerous clinical trials, including studies sponsored by the National Institute of Aging. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology and is an ad hoc reviewer for 15 peer-reviewed journals, including NEJM, Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, and Anesthesia and Analgesia.

Dr. Wasana Sumanasekera received her Ph. D. from Pennsylvania State University in 2003. For her thesis, she has investigated the Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor (PPAR) signaling, PPAR associated proteins, and different PPAR subtypes. Upon graduation, Dr. Sumanasekera joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Louisville as a post-doctoral scientist. Dr. Ahmet Eroglu is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the Medical Faculty of Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon, Turkey. He is also a specialist in Critical Care Medicine. He is Consultant of Critical Care Medicine and Orthopedic Anesthesia.
Dr. Eroglu has numerous publications in the peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ye Sun obtained her PhD from Jilin University at China and completed her postdoctoral fellowship training at Department of Urology/Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital before joining Department of Ophthalmology at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Koulen is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Biomedical Sciences and the Felix and Carmen Sabates Missouri Endowed Chair in Vision Research at the UMKC School of Medicine. He trained at the Max-Planck-Institute for Brain Research, Yale University and the Marine Biological Laboratory. His research focuses on basic research on and therapy development for chronic diseases of the eye and brain. He is an internationally recognized expert in biophysics, biochemistry and physiology of nerve cells and his research has been funded continually since 2002 by national and international foundations and agencies including the NIH’s National Eye Institute, National Institute on Aging, National Cancer Institute, National Center for Research Resources, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, and the U.S. DOD among others. As principal or co-investigator for over $20 million in extramural grant funding for research studies, Dr. Koulen’s research program has fundamental relevance to basic science, translational research and therapy development as evidenced by over 120 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, and 10 book chapters. Dr. Koulen has over 25 years of experience in the fields of neuroscience and eye research, drug development, translational research, biological sciences, biostatistics, and routinely interprets complex data sets with distinct public health significance. Dr. Koulen serves as reviewer for more than 50 professional scientific journals, serves on over 15 editorial boards and is editor in chief of two scientific journals. He is a review panel member for several national and international funding agencies including the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense and other national and international government agencies and research foundations. Dr. Elvis Alvarez Carnero started as a researcher at the Translational Research Institute in 2015. His research interests are centered around how exercise training influence exercise energy expenditure, body composition and adaptive thermogenesis in obesity. Currently, he is working on developing new methods to study kinetics in metabolic chambers; the associations between heart rate and VO2 kinetics and muscle respiration and insulin resistance; adaptive thermogenesis and energy expenditure after bariatric surgery; and the influence of microbiome in energy balance.
As a professor and researcher at the University of Malaga (Spain) his research lines included exercise energy expenditure, adaptive thermogenesis and physical activity after high intensive training programs in obese women. He was also funded as PI by the Spanish Ministry of Competiveness and Economy to study the relation¬ships between longitudinal changes of total daily energy expenditure and body composition in chil¬dren and adolescents. Finally, he was interested in the morphological determinants of anaerobic and aerobic performance. As part of his academic activities, he has teaching and mentoring experience in Universities of Portugal, Spain and South Korea.
Dr. Elvis Alvarez Carnero received his PhD in sports science at the Faculty of Education Sci-ences, University of A Coruña, Spain and Exercise and Health Laboratory, Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. Firstly, his studies included the influence of exercise training on exercise energy expenditure and adaptive thermogenesis, then he completed his training in tissue and molecular body composition assessment and the influence of exercise training type. He had been granted from the Portuguese Foundation of Sci¬ence and Technology to study applications of magnetic resonance imaging for metabolism and body composition at the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department of the Faculty of Medi¬cine, University of Pittsburgh, USA.

I am a PhD in Physiology, more specifically in the neurobiology of pain. Our research field embraces nociception, pain, neuropathy, PNS and CNS. We have started a relatively new field of research: Exercise, pain and depression in different animal models. We call it “new” because we have been working with it for about 5 years. I am a master in Pharmacology. I have studied the effects of Royal Jelly in DSS-induced colitis in mice. I have been dedicating my entire professional life (8 last years) to research and teaching. My main interests in terms of research are: exercise, pain, nociception and all the related conditions: hyperalgesia, neuropathy, inflammation, ionic channels, etc. If the board of this journal considers that my experience and expertise in the area will contribute to the editorial staff, I would be glad to be part of it.

"Dr. Mario Gaudino is the Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Gaudino completed his undergraduate studies and earned his medical degree in Rome, Italy at the University of Rome, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1994. He subsequently completed his residency in 1999 at the same University and joined the faculty there in 2000 where he remained until 2014, when he joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed an Advanced Cardiovascular/Aortic Aneurysm Surgery Fellowship in 2016 and was recruited to stay on staff as Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery. In 2017, he was elevated to the position of Professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Gaudino is currently the Director of Translation and Clinical Research in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Gaudino has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles along with numerous book chapters. He is currently the lead investigator of an international, randomized, controlled trial which aims to determine the optimal strategy for coronary artery bypass surgery (the ROMA trial). "Dr. Walker has long performed experimental and clinical research with a particular focus on the role of the local inflammatory microenvironment in carcinogenesis of the thyroid, prostate, and mammary glands. His research involves basic, translational, and clinical areas of biomedicine. In this basic research the focus is to understand the role of chronic inflammation and cancer stem cells in cancer development and metastasis with the aim to develop appropriate biomarkers for early detection and prognosis.
Another focus is to understand and identify novel immune system targets in order to monitor the efficacy of the treatment of nutrition disorders using in vivo biomedical imaging. He is an experienced researcher, especially in the prostate and mammary gland animal model systems and his research relates to immune-mediated disorders, cell-signaling, and cytokine network. "Dr. Gupta received his B.S. (Biological Chemistry) from the University of Chicago in 1996. He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002. He then performed his residency in urologic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center (2002-2008). He continued his training as a fellow in Urologic Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) in the Urologic Oncology Branch under the guidance of Dr. W. Marston Linehan (2008-2011). In 2011 he was recruited to the Department of Urology by Dr. Robert Flanigan as a fellowship trained urologic oncologist. Dr. Gupta holds a primary appointment in the Department of Urology, and has a joint appointment in the Department of Surgery, Radiology and the Oncology Institute at the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center.
His primary clinical research interests pertain to bladder, kidney and prostate cancer. Dr. Gupta performs minimally invasive surgeries using the DaVinci Robotic Surgery platform. His clinical interests are to push the cutting edge of technology while optimizing cancer outcomes. "Matthew Rutman, M.D., is the Director of Voiding Dysfunction, Incontinence and Urodynamic Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Urology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He graduated with honors from Emory University and The Chicago Medical School. After completing his residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Dr. Rutman completed a fellowship in female urology, voiding dysfunction, neurourology and urodynamics under world renowned Shlomo Raz, M.D at the UCLA Medical Center.

"Jianxun Ding, Male, Born in January 1986, Ph. D., Associate Professor. 2003.09 − 2007.07, he studied for B. S. in Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology of China; 2007.09 − 2012.12, he enrolled in Key Laboratory of Polymer Ecomaterials, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and received his Ph. D. in January 2013. Now, he serves as Associate Professor in CIAC, CAS. Recently, his research focuses on the developments of (1) exploitations of stimuli-responsive polymers as the matrices of smart nanocarriers, (2) developments of cell-related nanoscale platforms for controlled drug delivery, and (3) regenerative biomaterials. He has published more than 90 pre-reviewed research papers in international academic journals including Biomaterials, Journal of Controlled Release, Chemical Communications, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Biomacromolecules, Polymer Chemistry, and so on. Jin Seop Bak has a college degree in Yonsei Univ. (senior admissions), a PhD in Korea Univ. with top honors, and a LittD/ScD in Cambridge IBC (in England). He was the Project Leader in Faculty of KAIST, where he conducts his research activity. "Dr. Smerieri began her research and training activities at the Center for Sleep Disorders at Parma University in 1994, as an intern undergraduate student at the Faculty of Biological Sciences. She received her Master Degree in Biology at the University of Parma in 1998 and her PhD in Physiopathology of Sleep at the University of Genova in 2003.
D. Smerieri acquired a consolidated experience on the scoring of macrostructural and microstructural polysomnographic parameters of sleep recordings from both normal individuals and patients with sleep-related disorders, while at the Center for Sleep Disorders, where she participated in pioneering the identification and coding of cyclic alternating patterns (CAP). She worked on a dedicated software for automatic CAP analysis, which started while she was a Visiting Scholar at the Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon University, where she contributed to the set-up and improvement of the program. She started the collaboration with the Department of Paediatrics in 2008, and she focused her research interests in the role of growth factors under the supervision of Dr Maria E Street. She was then invited to join the staff at the Dental School, University of Parma, in 2013, where she became Head of Technical Staff and Lab tutor for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She joined the Laboratory for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering where she worked on cell responses to biomaterials and pioneered the use of aptamers to enrich implantable scaffolds for tissue regeneration. She was instrumental to the launch of a spin-off company, ART – Apta Regenerative Technologies S.r.l. and she was awarded the 2nd place at the startup competition ItaliaCamp Call for Ideas in 2015. "Dr. Mehdi Razavi (1985) is Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine Department of Radiology. Dr. Razavi runs his research efforts at Stanford focusing on pancreatic regeneration and islet cell transplantation for diabetes. His research aims to identify the factors that are responsible for islet survival as well as promotion of vascularisation. His research explores the use of biomaterials and bioscaffolding technology such as the graphene-based, polymer-based and cryogel-basd bioscaffolds, as a novel strategy to improve islet transplantation for treatment of Type 1 diabetes. The ability to coat the bioscaffold surface with vascular endothelial growth factors, and drugs like dexamethasone, will enable the creation of a well-defined microenvironment for islet transplantation which can be translated to the clinical setting.

Prior to his current appointment, Dr Razavi was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biomaterials with the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology (BCAST) in Institute of Materials and Manufacturing, and Brunel Institute for Bioengineering (BIB) at Brunel University, London. He was also a Research Scholar in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Helmerich Advanced Technology Research Center (HRC), at Oklahoma State University. He holds a PhD in Biomaterials from Isfahan University of Technology and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in August 2014, MS in Materials Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in February 2011 and BS in Materials Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in September 2008.

As one of his research honors, the Graduate Committee at Isfahan University of Technology distinguished Dr. Razavi as the author of Best PhD Thesis in 2011-2014. In April 2016, he had a honor of an appointment from Stanford University for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship program, in May 2015, he was awarded NewBioGen Research Fellow at Brunel University London selected among 27 candidates for a European Commission Research Project (EC PF7) and in July 2013 he had a honor of funding from Oklahoma State University for a Research Scholarship program. Kavindra Nath is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, Department of Radiology, Molecular Imaging Laboratory. He did his M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University, and Ph.D. in Life Science (Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy; MRI/MRS) from C.S.J.M. University/S.G.P.G.I.M.S., U.P., India. In Ph.D. he studied patients with intracranial mass lesions using MRI and MRS techniques. His current research is utilizing multi-nuclear (1H, 31P, 13C) MRS and other techniques in vitro and in vivo in order to delineate the mode of action of various monocarboxylate transport (MCTs), mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC) and electron transport chain (ETC) inhibitors, which distinguishes normal cells from malignant cells and potentiates the activities of various chemotherapeutic drugs, hyperthermia and radiation therapy in a variety of human cancers.

Professor Kumta obtained his Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in 1984. He then obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1987 and 1990, respectively. He joined Carnegie Mellon University in 1990 and was promoted to Full Professor with tenure in 1998. He recently joined the University of Pittsburgh after serving on the faculty at Carnegie Mellon University for 17 years, and is currently the Edward R. Weidlein Chair Professor in the Swanson School of Engineering and the School of Dental Medicine. His main research interests are in the synthesis, structure and properties of nanostructured materials for electrochemical electronic, bone tissue engineering, biomineralization, bio-sensing, and non-viral gene delivery applications. Professor Kumta is the recipient of the NSF Research Initiation Award (RIA), Fellow of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineers (AIMBE). Dr. Tuoen Liu received his M.D. degree (2003) from Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University in China and Ph.D. degree (2011) in Pharmacology from Idaho State University in the U.S. After that, Dr. Liu completed his postdoctoral training in Hematology and Oncology at Washington University in Saint Louis in the U.S. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in the U.S. His research focuses on genetics, hematology and oncology, especially heat shock proteins and myeloid malignancies. His professional background is a mix of academia, pharmaceutical industry, applied research institute, university medical center. He has been leading technology-based biomarker laboratories, cross-functional expert teams, therapeutic project teams and being involved into public-private consortia, many of which were focused on the discovery, development and implementation of translational biomarkers in a variety of therapeutic areas. While working globally he has contributed to over 200 projects in various phases of biomarker R&D. Claudio is a strong believer of open innovation networks, and in his roles he has been collaborating with several stakeholders to accelerate applied scientific research through public-private partnerships. Dr. Spencer's research focuses on translational studies of the immune response to bacteria (e.g., Francisella spp., Mycobacteria spp. and Listeria) incorporating his experience with both mouse and human experimental systems to extrapolate and validate observations made in animals in order to better understand and manipulate the human immune response to pathogens and vaccines.

Over the past 16 years, Gary Smejkal has worked in both academia and the biotechnology industry. He has worked with the companies Covaris, Pressure Biosciences, and Proteome Systems and is currently an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of New Hampshire. He is the Founder of Focus Proteomics, a contract research organization.

Formerly, he was Visiting Scientist at the Harvard School of Public Health and Proteomics Technologies Manager at the Harvard School of Medicine. He worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, both in basic research and in clinical research.

Expertise is in sample preparation, protein electrophoresis, and assay development. He has developed and helped bring to market ten kits for five different companies. I also have experience in MALDI-TOF, having been formally trained at Bruker-Daltonics.

His publications include 42 PubMed citations, 10 reviews and book chapters, and is currently working on his second book on protein electrophoresis.

Dr. Liping Yang graduated from Nankai University in China with a B.S. and M.S, in Chemistry with an emphasis in analytical chemistry. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Oregon State University (OSU), which focus on the application of liquid-chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) based proteomics. After her graduation from OSU, she then stayed on to grow and manage the mass spectrometry center. Along with the professional mass spectrometrists who staff the center, Dr. Yang is knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced in the practical application of modern LC-MS techniques to solve important research questions. Dr. Yang is a member of ASMS, and an active reviewer in most prestigious analytical chemistry journals, including Analytical Chemistry, Analytica Chimica Acta, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Frontier in Chemistry.

Dr Abbas Amini is currently an assistant professor at ACK and Western Sydney University, Australia. After obtaining PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (ranked 17th in Engineering among the universities worldwide), he conducted research with Australian universities, as a postdoctoral research fellow at Monash and Deakin Universities, and as a senior research fellow at the University of Melbourne. His fine outcomes have been presented in high impact factor journals, e.g., Nature publication group, and a recent published book in 2016. Abbas is the editor of more than 20 reputed journals, and served as the chair/committee member of more than 120 international conferences to date.

Professor Chul Soon Yong graduated from the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University in 1980 and completed his master’s degree in the same university in Department of Pharmaceutics. On receiving his PhD degree from the University of South Carolina in 1991, he joined the College of Pharmacy, Yeungnam University and served as the dean in 2009. He was president of The Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, president of The Asian Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (AFPS), vice-president of The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea, chair of Organizing Committee for AFPS Conference 2013 and vice-chairman of The Local Organizing Committee of FIP Seoul Congress 2017.

Dr. Xin-Li Guo graduates from Southeast University, China as a co-educated doctor-course student of China-France and gets his Ph.D Degree in 1994 Afterword, he has mainly worked as a researcher in the National Key Laboratory of Solid State Microstructures, Nanjing University, China and in the National Material Science Institute, Japan, respectively for totally about 15 years. He is currently a professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering of Southeast University, China. His research interests include composite materials, nanomaterials, thin films， nanotechnology and surface science. He holds 11 issued and pending China patents.

Huangxian Ju, B.S., M.S. and Ph.D from Nanjing University in 1986, 1989 and 1992, and lecturer, associate professor and professor at Nanjing University in 1992, 1993 and 1999, respectively, is currently the director of State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science, and vice director of Modern Analytical Center of Nanjing University. He was a postdoctoral researcher in Montreal University (Canada) from 1996-1997. He won the National Funds for National Distinguished Young Scholars in 2003 and was selected as a Changjiang Professor by Education Ministry of China and a National Key Talent in The New Century in 2007, a chief scientist of National Basic Research Program of China by MSTC in 2009, Fellows of the International Society of Electrochemistry and the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2015.

Jianliang Shen received his B.S in Applied Chemistry from Hunan University of Science and Technology in 2007, M.S. in Inorganic Chemistry from Xiangtan University in 2010, and Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry under supervision of Prof. Zong-Wan Mao at Sun

Dr. Jianmin Qin is Professor of the third hospital affiliated to Second Military Medical University. He has over 20 years of experience in the research, discovery and business development of medications aimed to treat the hepatocellular carcinoma. Previously, Dr. Jianmin Qin served as the Head of hepatobiliary surgery at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During his career at the two university, Dr. Jianmin Qin holds a Ph.D. and M.D. in Hepatobiliary Surgery from institute of liver cancer affiliated to Second Military Medical University. Notably, Dr. Jianmin Qin has authored more than 120 manuscripts, 6 patents, and co-edited "Targeted drug therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma".Dr. Jianmin Qin is also an adjunct faculty member a Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai where he teaches " Precise tumor therapy ", a class focused on the therapy and prevention of malignant tumors.

Jia-Yaw Chang received his PhD in Chemistry from National Tsing Hua University in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Yong-Chien Ling. He was a visiting researcher in the laboratory of Prof. Weihong Tan at the University of Florida in 2003. From 2004 to 2009, he was a research scientist and a project leader at Industrial Technology Research Institute. He joined National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 2009 as an Assistant Professor and became a Professor in 2015. His research interests include the synthesis and functionalization of nanomaterials in the areas of energy conversion, drug delivery, light-activated therapy, and bioimaging applications.

Professor Maoquan Chu was born in Anhui Province in China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology in 2001. He then did his postdoctoral work in School of Life Science and Technology in Shanghai Jiaotong University, where he delved into biomaterials and nanotechnology. In 2004, he attended the School of Life Science and Technology at Tongji University. In 2007, he wined China Education Ministry’s New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan. In 2008, he was hired as a Professor. He is a principal investigator of the School of Life Science and Technology at Tongji University and Research Center for Translational Medicine at Shanghai East Hospital. His research concerns nanobiomedicine. His current research focuses on cancer imaging and therapy using nanomaterials and natural materials.

Dr. Jun Li works as an associate professor at School of Life Sciences, Jiangsu Normal University, China. He obtained his MSc in biomedical engineering in Sep 2008 from College of bioengineering at Chongqing University in China. From Oct 2008 to Mar 2012, he pursued a Ph.D in Institute of Pharmacy at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. His PhD study focused on the biodegradable nanoparticles and nanocapsules for drug delivery. After graduation, Dr. Li worked as a post-doc fellow for 4 years at School of Medicine, Tsinghua University and investigated targeted gene delivery and gene therapy.

Dr. Ming-Lai Fu now is a professor of Environmental Engineer in the Key Laboratory of Urban Pollutant Conversion, Institute of Urban Environment (IUE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He obtained his B Sc in Anal. Chem., at Guilin Institute of Technology in 1994, and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, CAS in 2006. In the beginning of 2007, he began his postdoctoral research in the Institute of Nanotechnology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In the following year, he began another postdoctoral research until to the August of the 2010 in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the University of South Carolina. Pooyan Makvandi is a researcher at Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB), National Research Council (CNR), Naples, Italy. Prior to joining CNR, he worked at Department of Engineering for Innovation of the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy, as visiting researcher. Dr. Prashanth Kumar Bhusetty Nagesh is a researcher in department of Pharmaceutical sciences, The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis TN, USA. Dr. Prashanth did his Ph.D. in Cancer biology and Nanomedicine from IIT, Kharagpur, India. He has been working on cancer biomarker discovery, therapeutics & Nano drug delivery systems. He is a member of the American Association of cancer research and American association of pharmaceutical Society. Dr. Prashanth has published >35 peer reviewed papers in high impact journals. He is also acting as a peer reviewer for many journals in the fields of oncology, Cell Biology, and Nanotechnology. Renat R. Letfullin is a faculty member in the Department of Physics and Optical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is also Founder and Director of the Nanomedicine program at Radiological Technologies University. Dr. Letfullin has made outstanding contributions to the fields of wave and quantum optics, lasers, aerosol physics and nanoscience, including nanooptics and nanobiotechnology. He is an outstanding theoretician and experimentalist in the fields of optics and kinetics of chemical pulsed lasers, and during the past decade has branched out into biophotonics and nanomedicine. He has discovered new phenomena and scientific effects in these fields, where examples include: effect of diffractive multifocal focusing of plane and spherical waves, effect of giant laser energy gain, the autowave of a new type – self-supporting photon-branched chain reaction, and effect of focusing of de Broglie matter-waves. He has carried out an extensive array of studies in nanoscience, including laser heating and evaporation of nanostructures and optical properties of nanoparticles. He has developed and designed new self-contained laser systems with multimega joule output energy per pulse,
optical reactor for efficient laser processing of dispersed materials, phase technique for optical diagnostics of small particles, and new diffractive atom lens. His latest achievements are in the field of nanophotonics and nanomedicine, including discoveries of a plasmon explosion

Dr Wei Zhang received his BEng (2005) and MEng (2008) and PhD (2012) degrees from Sichuan University. During 2009-2011, he studied in Georgia Tech as a visiting student supported by the China Scholarship Council. Right after graduation, he joined Sichuan University as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2014. He has an H-index of 21 with a total SCI citation of 1000+. His research mainly focuses on biopolymers, particularly the nanomaterials from renewable resources, such as cellulose nanofibers, chitin whiskers, etc. The extraction of cellulose nanofibers and their applications in green nanocomposites, energy storage, water treatment and tissue engineering have been the active topics in his research group. His research work has been highlighted by many scientific news media, including C&EN, VeriticalNews, PharmacyChoice, Global Medical Discovery, etc.

Zhenghong Wu is a professor in pharmaceutics and a vice Chair of the Nanjing Pharmaceutical Association, also a licensed Pharmacists in China. Dr. Wu is a member of several journal editorial boards, and is a reviewer for over a dozen pharmaceutical and drug delivery journals. He also serves as a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education.
Prof. Wu received his Ph.D. (pharmaceutics, in 2003) and M.S. (pharmaceutical analysis, in 1997) from China Pharmaceutical University (Nanjing, China), B.S. He worked as vice dean of Pharmacy School in Xinjiang Medical University (Ürümqi, China) from 2014 to 2016, as visiting scholar in Rutgers University (USA) from 2012 to 2013, as assistant mayor in Taixing Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province from 2010 to 2011, as postdoctoral fellow in Academy of Military Medical Science (Beijing, China) from 2003 to 2005. He served as clinical pharmacist in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University (Hefei, China) from 1990 to 1994, in the Drum Tower Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University (Nanjing, China) from 1997 to 2003. Shuang Li received her Bachelor degree at Sichuan University, and then she moved to Shanghai Jiao Tong University for Master’s degree studies from 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Yuezeng Su and Prof. Xinliang Feng. During Master period, she took part in the ERC grant 2DMATER at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany in 2013. After finishing the Master study, she became a research scholar from 2014 at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the group of Prof. Nicolas A. Kotov. From 2015, she was doing her Ph.D research studies in the group of Prof. Arne Thomas in chemistry at Technische Universität Berlin. Now, she is going to start her independent postdoc researches at Technische Universität Berlin. Her current research focuses on synthesis of metal-organic precursors based porous carbon and graphene based nanocomposites and their applications as advanced electrode and catalytic materials.

Dr George K. Paraskevas born in Greece and works as Associate Professor of Anatomy at Department of Anatomy, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece. He received the Medical degree from Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, attained the Ph.D. degree in 2000 (degree: excellent) and gained full qualification as specialist in orthopaedic surgery in 2005. Naiya Patel, Ph.D. Student | MPH | BDS, is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Louisville, Department of Health Management and Systems Sciences, and is a CHOT research assistant. She has diverse work experience in Pharmaceuticals as well as in higher education as a Feasibility Specialist Associate and Graduate Research Assistant. She also served as a general dental practitioner in the clinical setting for a couple of years. Dr Michael Tanzer is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee arthroplasty. He obtained his medical degree and did his residency training at McGill University. He did an Adult Reconstruction Hip fellowship at Harvard University with Dr William Harris at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He then returned to the McGill University Hospital Centre (MUHC) in Montreal, Canada. He is the Associate Surgeon-in-Chief of Surgery at the MUHC and a Professor and the Vice Chair of Surgery at McGill University. He holds the Jo Miller Chair of Orthopaedic Research and is the Director of the McGill Arthroplasty Group. His research includes clinical, basic science and engineering related investigations related to hip and knee joint reconstruction.

Sanitarian Raimi Morufu Olalekan received his M.Phil in Environmental Health Science from Kwara State University in August 2018 and MSc in Environmental Health Management from the University of Uyo in March 2017, Diploma in Environmental Health from Public Health Training Institute and Bsc in Geography and Environmental Management from Niger Delta University. Dr. Nan Li received a PhD in Epidemiology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her dissertation focused on the impact of dietary factors on cancer incidence and survival. She is currently working with Dr. Joseph Braun investigating the relationship between early-life exposure to obesity and neurodevelopmental outcomes. She will also be examining the impact of early-life exposure to some chemicals on children's cognitive abilities.

He attained the EULAR Certifi cate for Rheumatic diseases, Zurich, Switzerland (2012) and is Editor-in-Chief of the Egyptian Rheumatologist (Elsevier). Maria Antonella De Donno, born in Otranto (LE) on 19/12/1964, graduated with honors in Biological Sciences and specialized in Microbiology and Virology. From 01/01/2001 he is a Confirmed Researcher for the SS42 MED42 c / o the Dept. of Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies of the University of Salento. From 1989 to today he carries out c / o the Hygiene Lab of the University of Salento research activity in the field of the epidemiology of infectious diseases and of the Microbiology applied to Environmental Hygiene. The research activity develops on thematic areas related to the study and development of the most effective primary prevention strategies for infectious diseases and chronic degenerative diseases. Dr. Verma is Chief of the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program's (EGRP) Methods and Technologies Branch (MTB), and oversees its research portfolio and initiatives that focus on methods to address epidemiologic data collection, study design and analysis, and to modify technological approaches developed in the context of other research endeavors for use as biomarkers and methods to understand cancer susceptibility.

Dr. Tzi Bun NG is presently working as an Professor of Biochemistry in School of Biomedical Sciences at Chinese University of Hong Kong, China. He is also works as Principal investigator and Co- investigator of over 40 research projects funded by the Hong Kong Government including RGC, RFCID, ITF and HMRF projects. Dr. Chi-Hin CHO is presently working as Professor and Associate Director in the School of Biomedical Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, China. He received his under- and post-graduate studies in Taiwan, America and Hong Kong and obtained his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 1978. He went through his postdoctoral training in Canada and started his first faculty position in the Yang Ming Medical College and Veterans General Hospital Taipei in 1981. He joined HKU in the Department of Pharmacology from 1984 and became Chair Professor of Pharmacology in 2000. Later he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2007 as chairman and Professor of Pharmacology until 2009. Professionally he was the President (2006-2010) and is now the Chair of Presidential Council (2012-2014) of the Gastrointestinal Pharmacology Section of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology and visiting and honorary professors of Peking University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Beijing Capital University of Medical Science, the Fourth Military Medical University, Virginia Tech, University of Maryland and University of California. Dr. Danforth’s research efforts are focused primarily on the molecular characteristics of early breast carcinogenesis which are present in normal breast epithelium and their use to develop a molecular signature for risk assessment, and to develop new targets for breast cancer prevention. An important 2nd area of interest of Dr. Danforth are the disparities in breast cancer outcome between Caucasian, African American and Hispanic women, especially the molecular basis for these disparities and how they are influenced by health care, socioeconomic and other nonbiologic factors. A model has been developed to describe these relationships.

Fully trained neurosurgeon, Emad Aboud, M.D., serves as the Director of the ANI Micro-neurosurgery Laboratory, overseeing all lab-related training and research. Dr. Aboud is responsible for creating the Aboud Model for Surgical Training, a life-like simulation device that he has lectured about and showcased in a variety of national and international venues. In total, Dr. Aboud has delivered almost 50 presentations on the Aboud Model and other relevant topics related to his field of expertise. He has also published multiple articles and book chapters in neurosurgical literature. Prior to joining the ANI at St. Vincent, Dr. Aboud served as an assistant professor for research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)

Dr. Yuanyuan Zhang is a director of tissue therapy and assistant professor in the Wake Forest Institute for Regeneration Medicine (WFIRM) and department of urology at the University of Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He received his M.D. and earned his spot as attending urologist in in Nanchang University, China and entered PhD training program in University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He was a faculty member at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and then continues his academic career at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Zhang’s research interests include stem cell, tissue specific extracellular matrix, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine in surgery, particularly in andro-urology for more than 20 years.

Dr. Tomura graduated Akita University School of Medicine in 1981. He worked and studied neuroradiology and PET of cerebrovascular disorders as a neuroradiologist at Research Institute for Brain and Blood Vessels-Akita from 1986 to 1988. He completed his doctorate in radiology and nuclear medicine at Akita University in 1988. He got Japanese board of radiology in 1986 and Japanese board of nuclear medicine in 1991. He studied neuroradiology as a research fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York) from 1991 to 1992. He was an associated professor of Radiology at Akita University in 1993. He got a grant from the Ministry of Welfare in 1987 and 1988, and a grant from the Ministry of Education in 1994, 1995-1997, 2005-2007. He got Japanese board of stroke society in 2002 and Japanese board of PET in 2003. He was recently a director of Department of Neuroradiology at Southern TOHOKU Research Institute for Neuroscience.

Dr. Yoshihide Ogawa is an Emeritus Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus, Japan. He was a Consultant and Chair, Kidney Disease Center, Tokyo-West Tokushukai Hospital, and Chair in the Department of Urology, Musashino Tokushukai Hospital, Japan. He completed his Ph.D. at KeioUniversity, Tokyo, Japan.

He did a research fellow at Tuft New-England Medical Center in the surgical research lab, under the supervision of Prof. Shikora. He finished his fellowship in Bariatrics at McGill University Hospital. Dr. Fabbri graduated at Ferrara University (Italy) in 2012 with research on the laparoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) and became General Surgeon in 2019 with a research on Intraoperative radiotherapy (IOERT).His main researches are focused on general and thoracic surgery. Notably, he published literature reviews on gastrointestinal tumors, an overview of breast cancer and a pilot study on perianal fistula. Mohamed Soliman is a Lecturer in the Department of Neurosurgery at Cairo University. He earned his master degree in Neurosurgery in 2015 and Neurosurgery Medical Doctorate degree in 2018. During his Neurosurgery post-graduate training at Cairo University, he did electives in Dalhousie and Western University in Canada with an excellent evaluation followed by 2 years fellowship in Western University. JUAN ANTONIO BELLIDO LUQUE, MD, has studied in Seville Medicine university (Spain) for five years. From 2003 to 2005, he has worked as a gastrointestinal surgeon in Virgen Macarena Hospital in Seville. In 2005 he moved to Riotinto Hospital, in Huelva, Spain, where is part of the “minimally invasive surgery unit” in the Riotinto Hospital Surgical departmet.

John F. Bebawy, MD is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University. His clinical and research interests and expertise relate to Neuroanesthesia, with a focus on interventions that affect cerebral blood flow and cerebrovascular hemodynamics. Dr. Bebawy completed his Anesthesiology residency and Neurosurgical Anesthesiology fellowship training at Northwestern in 2008, where he is currently faculty and Associate Director of the Neurosurgical Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. Professor Abdulbari Bener is Professor of Public Health at the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University and Professor of Public Health at the Istanbul Medipol University International School of Medicine. He was Professor of Public Health in the Department of Public Health at the Weill Cornell Medical College for a period January 2006- August 2014. Professor Bener was Asst. Medical Director and Head of the Medical Statistics & Epidemiology Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar during August 2002- July 2014. Add to this, He is advisor to World Health Organization and Adjunct Professor & Coordinator for the postgraduate and master public health programs (MPH) of the School of Epidemiology and Health Sciences, University of Manchester. He is Fellow of Royal Statistical Society (FRSS) and Fellow of Faculty of Public Health (FFPH). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Medical Statistics (Biometry) and Genetics from the University College of London (UCL), and a B.Sc. degree from Ankara University. He has held academic positions in public health, epidemiology, and statistics at universities in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and England. Editor for over 20 Journals and Referee for over 60 Journals. He has contributed to more than 20 book chapters and supervised theses of 50 postgraduate students (MSc, MPH, MPhil and PhD).

Very recently, I won a competitive PostDoctor Internship (2016) at Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale (INSERM) in Dijon France, under a project entitled "Functionalization of Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand on Celecoxib-Loaded Nanoparticles to Overcome Cancer Multi-Drug Resistance". In 2013, I won a short grant about "Nano-Drug Delivery for Cancer and Hepatitis C Therapy" at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), NY, USA.
I am a researcher at the National Research Center (NRC) in Egypt and I received my Bachelor in Biochemistry with the first rank and honors degree from Ain Shams University in 2007, followed by a M.Sc. (2011) and a Ph.D. (2015) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Hepatitis C Virus and Host Genetic Responses) from Cairo University (approved by Rostock University in Germany and University of Hong Kong in China). From 2008 up to date, my projects focused on "Cancer, Cancer Virology, Signaling Pathways, Metabolism, and Targeted Nano-Delivery" as well as "HCV Response", yielding over 20 peer-reviewed publications (H-index=7).
In 2012, I won a grant at Qatar Foundation, Stars of Science program, Season 4, Doha to apply an innovative idea of "A novel HCV Response Diagnostic Kit". From 2012 to 2016, I got an experience in "Cancer Metabolism" at Zewail City of Science and Technology (Zewail is a Nobel laureate). Moreover, I got a program entitled: "Lab Biosafety and Understanding Nanotechnology and its Implications" from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (citi), Miami University, USA. Furthermore, I was appointed in the Editorial Board of some international journals such as International J of PharmTech Research, J of Clinical Microbiology and Biochemical Technology, and J of Clinical Oncology and Practice. Moreover, I attended as a speaker in different international conferences in New York and Texas, USA.

Professor Akira Sugawara belongs to the Department of Molecular Endocrinology, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan. He graduated from Tohoku University School of Medicine on 1987 (M.D.), and got Ph.D. on 1991 from Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine. He performed Postdoctoral Fellowship in William Chin’s laboratory at the Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston from 1991 to 1994. His major is general internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism and hypertension and nephrology. His research interest is 1) molecular biology of nuclear hormone receptors, 2) etiology of high blood pressure, 3) pathophysiology of diabetic nephropathy, 4) gene regulation of aldosterone synthase, and 5) epigenetics of hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

Alfio Ferlito is Professor and Chairman of the ENT Clinic at the University of Udine School of Medicine from 1997. He was Director of the Department of Surgical Sciences at the same University from 2003 to 2009. He graduated in medicine at the University of Bologna in 1968. He completed his residence programme in otolaryngology and subsequently in pathology. He worked at the ENT Department of   Padua University from 1970 to 1997. Professor Ferlito has collaborated in writing articles, editorials, commentaries, letters to the editor, special issues, book chapters and books with 516 international experts. He has edited a three-volume book entitled Cancer of the Larynx (CRC Press, Boca Raton, 1985) and three other books entitled Neoplasms of the Larynx (Churchill Livingstone, Edinburgh, 1993), Surgical Pathology of Laryngeal Neoplasms (Chapman and Hall, London, 1996) and Diseases of the Larynx (Arnold, London, 2000)

In 1996, Dr Andrès received his MD degree in Internal Medicine, at the University of Strasbourg, France. He worked as an associated professor in the University Hospital of Strasbourg, France. In 1998 he worked as PhD in Molecular Biology in the Laboratory of Professor Hoffmann (2011, Nobel Prize of Medicine) in the field of cationic antimicrobial peptides and pathogens - host relations. In 2002, he was nominated Full Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He also was the head of an Internal Medicine Department (of 62 beads) in the University hospital of Strasbourg, France. He was awarded the French Society of Haematology, price for research in the field of anaemia related to cobalamin or folate deficiencies in 2004. Achievements include development of research in: all type of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, particularly drug-induced neutropenia and agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia; haematopoietic growth factors; and cobalamin deficiencies. He also conducts several studies on inflammatory or immune disorders. His recent works also include research and development on human sounds analysis, electronic stethoscope, e-auscultation, and e-medicine. In that function he was recruited as advisor to several pharmaceutical and telemedicine companies and start-up companies.

Dr. Brian Lang is currently the Clinical Associate Professor and Division Chief of Endocrine Surgery, Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. He also serves as the director for The Surgical Skill Training Program at Department of Surgery, The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Lang received hisBachelor of Medicine and Surgery from University of Sydney, Australia with Distinctions in Medicine and Surgery. He received his Master of Surgery (MS) in University of Hong Kong with thesis titled “Cancer Staging in Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma”.
Dr. Lang has published more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. His clinical and research interests include thyroid carcinoma, thyroid noduleshyperparathyroidism, adrenal tumors, multiple endocrine neoplasia and neuroendocrine tumors. He is the editor-in-chief for the Journal of Thyroid Disorders & Therapy and is serving as aneditor/member of the Editorial Board in the several international journals includes: Case reports in Surgery, World Journal of Endocrine Surgery and World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Lang was awarded from the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES) International Travelling Award in 2005 and 2009, the International Guest Scholar from the American College of Surgeons in 2012 and the James IV travelling scholarship in 2015. Heis an Honorary Fellowof the Korean Association of Robotic Surgeons (KAROS).

Detlev Koeppen received his MSc Psychol (Diplompsychologe) in 1970 and had worked up to 1975 as scientific assistant in Wiesbaden (Bildungstechnologisches Zentrum) and lecturer in Darmstadt university (Technische Hochschule). He joined the medical department of Hoechst AG in Frankfurt in 1975 as Clinical Project Manager Central Nervous System.In this position, he organised international clinical trials and the global submission for marketing authorisation of compounds in the fields of epilepsy, depression and anxiety.

I became a physician in 2009 in University of Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Then I complete the Residency of Neurosurgery in Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires, Argentina) between 2009 and 2014. I did a rotation (visiting and training program) in Functional Neurosurgery and Pain at Hospital das Clínicas, University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2013). Also I did a rotation in Microsurgical Neuroanatomy in the Laboratory of Microsurgical Anatomy of Hospital de Beneficencia Portuguesa, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2013). After that I did a fellowship in Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery in Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires, Argentina) from from 6/1/2014 to 5/31/2015. Nowadays I am a neurosurgeon of Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos Evita (Lanús, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina). Dr. Kabirullah Lutfy (Ph.D.) is a Full Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences (Pomona, California, USA). He completed his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at University of California, Irvine (UCI, Irvine, California, USA). He received his postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Nigel T. Maidment at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, California, USA). Dr. Kabirullah Lutfy is a pharmacologist with research interest in the field of pain and addiction, and the negative impacts of such addictive behaviors on energy homeostasis (e.g., obesity and type 2 diabetes) as well as on mental health (e.g., anxiety and depression). He has outstanding records of scientific and academic accomplishments with multiple research funding, numerous publications in highly prestigious journals and various presentations in both national and international conferences. He also serves as an editorial board member for several journals and regularly reviews articles for more than 30 scientific journals.

Dr. Georgios Michailidis graduated from the School Agriculture, Department of Animal Science, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2000. He continued his studies for a doctoral thesis at the School of Cell and Molecular Biosciences, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., were he obtained his Ph.D. at 2004. He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Agrobiotechnology, CERTH, Greece, until 2007. At this year he became Lecturer in School of Agriculture, Department of Animal Production, Laboratory of Physiology of Reproduction of Farm Aninals, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2012 he is Assistant Professor in this University.

Hans Helge Dahlkvist, After graduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Linköping, PhD/MD in 1983 and professor of Pharmacology in 1987 at Linköping University. Experience as project manager in drug development at Hoffman LaRoche and Pfizer and course director and lecturer at Linköping and Stockholm University, manager of higher education in medical and natural sciences at Åsö College and responsible for theme days and project manager in educational development nationally and internationally.
My research interest is to describe probable hibernation phenotypes, common to a vast variety of organisms, including humans; with well‐known biochemical pathways to point‐out specific metabolic trails that may relate to different aspects of hibernation. It can be explained as a strong genetic hibernant machinery inherited since the First Cell, modified by specific environmental conditions required for an appropriate adaptation. Hibernation can be seen as a key energetic survival response common in species from different Kingdoms, developed by them, but phenotypically changes, according to their evolutionary complexity level.

Dr Djouhri obtained his PhD in Neurophysiology at Sheffield University, UK. For his postdoctoral training, he worked for about 5 years at Edinburg University (UK) investigating the interactions between spinal cord neurons at the level of spinal cord before he moved to work for about 10 years with Prof. Sally Lawson at University of Bristol (UK) where he was interested in the role of primary afferent DRG neurons in chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain. He also worked for about a year with Prof. Michael Gold at University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA. He then moved to work for a few years at University of Liverpool (UK) before moving to King Saud University (KSA) where is he currently working as a Professor in Physiology and a director of PG studies in Department of Physiology. His current research interests include the role of ion channels and cytokines in chronic neuropathic pain including diabetic and chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain.

Naoki OISO was born on 31 May, 1968 in Toyooka, Hyogo, Japan. He received M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. On April 2012, Oiso serves as an Associate Professor at Departments of Dermatology and Patient Safety & Management, Kinki University Faculty of Medicine. In 1988, Oiso was a student at Osaka City University School of Medicine in Osaka, Japan. In 1997, Oiso was a graduate student at Osaka City University Graduate School of Medicine in Osaka, Japan. Prof. Hironobu Ihn was born in 1964 at Kobe, Japan and graduated from University of Tokyo in 1990. He became assistant professor, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo in 1990, and worked as the research fellow in Division of Rheumatology & Immunology, Medical University of South Carolina, SC, USA between 1994 and 1997. He worked as the lecturer, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine between 2001 and 2005 and became the associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo. He was elected as the professor & Chairman, Department of Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, Faculty Life Sciences, Kumamoto University in 2005 and became the Vice President, Kumamoto University Hospital in 2013. He obtained Japanese Society of Connective Tissue Research Award in 2001, Japanese Society of Investigative Dermatology Award in 2005, and Japan Rheumatism Foundation Award in 2006.

Dr. Hideki Fujita is working as Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology in Nihon University School of Medicine, Japan. He pursued his Ph.D   from University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan.

Dr. Hideki Fujita holds honorary membership in different Societies for Dermatology and also serves as editor and reviewer for various national and international journal of his research expertise. His research papers are published in most renowned national and international journals of Dermatology.

Daxiang Cui, obtained his MD and PhD in Fourth Military Medical University in 1998, was a post-doc staff in Max Planck Institute for Metals Research from 2001 to 2004, was a visiting Professor in Waseda University from 2007 to 2008, so far he is a distinguished Professor in Shanghai Jiaotong University, his research interests include synthesis and biosafety evaluation of nanomaterials, nanoparticles-labeling and nano-effects-based ultrasensitive detection methods and biosensors, structure and function of genes or proteins. He was the Group leader of the Molecular Tumor Therapy up to Dec. 2011 at the University Hospital of Duesseldorf, Germany. Currently, He is Group leader of. Dr. Hassan earned his BSc. Dr. Petra Staubach-Renz a Senior Physician and Managing Director, Clinical Research Centre, Department of Dermatology, University Medical Center Mainz, Germany.

Professor Staubach-Renz has specialised in dermatology since 2000 and in 2004 she became the Managing Director of the Clinical Research Center in the Department of Dermatology at the University Medical Center, Mainz. Dr. Andrea Chiricozzi attended medical school at the
University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, Italy, graduating in 2007. In 2011, he completed his residency as a dermatologist at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he continues to work in the Department of Dermatology, headed by Prof. Sergio Chimenti. His scientific activity was further developed at the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology at the Rockefeller University in New York, USA, where he continues to serve as a visiting dermatologist under the department head, Prof. James G. A specialist in skin immunology, Dr. Chiricozzi focuses his research on chronic skin inflammation and the pathogenic circuits underlying the formation of skin lesions, particularly in terms of psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Of noteworthy significance is his work concerning the role of IL-17 in cutaneous disorders. Through his scientific endeavors, he aspires to further
understanding of immunologic mechanisms of inflammatory skin diseases in order to identify novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of these disabling inflammatory skin diseases. He was honored with the prestigious Leo-Pharma Research Silver Award in 2012 for the promising findings he obtained during his fellowship at the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology, The Rockefeller University, New York, USA, which started in 2008.

Dr. Michael Benzaquen completed medical education at the Faculty of Medicine of Marseille, Aix-Marseille University (Marseille, France), and ranked first among 3000 students in the first year of medical school. He then completed his residency in Dermatology at Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Marseille, before a fellowship in the department of Dermatology at Hôpital Nord de Marseille. His professional experiences abroad in Columbia University (New York City, USA) and Inselspital - University Hospital of Bern (Bern, Switzerland) improved his clinical skills and knowledge in Dermatology, as well as his success in ECFMG certification. Ronnie Fass is a Professor of Medicine on a tenure track at the University of Arizona in Tucson and Chief of Gastroenterology and Director of the GI Motility Laboratory at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, and head of the Neuroenteric Clinical Research Group. Dr. Fass earned his medical degree at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel and completed a one-year internship at Tel-Aviv University. He later moved to the USA and did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, where he later became a Chief Resident. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California in Los Angeles where he focused on GI motility and functional bowel disorders. Dr. Fass is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is the chair of the Audio Committee and a member of the Education Committee as well as the FDA Related Matters Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology Academic Clinician Task Force. He is a council member of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Society of Diseases of the Esophagus as well as the International Committee for Neurogastroenterology and Motility. Dr. Fass is the former chair of the Practice Parameter Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology ACG and the Publication Committee of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy ASGE.Dr. Fass is the recipient of the American Gastroenterological Association/Janssen Award for Digestive Sciences in Clinical Research and the Department of Veteran Affairs, Investigator of the Year award. Qianni (Jenny) Cheng is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Pharmacology, at Yale School of Medicine. Her research is focused on orphan receptor tyrosine kinases and their functions in health and diseases. As a member of the Networking Committee, she hopes that different events held by the committee can bring people together, letting postdocs bond outside of the academic environment. Dr. Xie’s current research focuses on conducting comprehensive metabolomic studies to (1) identify the metabolite markers for disease diagnosis and stratification and (2) define the molecular mechanisms that link metabolic disruptions in gut microbial-host co-metabolism to metabolic disorders and gastrointestinal cancer. Dr. Xie received his M.D. degree in Pharmaceuticals from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 2007. Dr. Xie has more than 10 years of experience in bioanalytical science and metabolomics, and published over 60 peer-reviewed papers on metabolomics and biomedical research. He has worked on dozens of metabolomics projects that span the translational research spectrum from various rodent models to human clinical trials. Currently, being an assistant professor at University of Hawaii Cancer Center, Dr. Xie manages multiple metabolomics projects in the area of cancer biomarker discovery.

Dr. Jeffrey Halldorson is Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of California, San Diego, specializing in all aspects of liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, along with liver and hepatobiliary surgery. Dr. Halldorson completed his M.D. at the University of Michigan Medical School, his surgery residency at the University of Minnesota, and four years of post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania studying molecular biology and gene therapy. Board certified in General Surgery, he also did a two-year fellowship in multi-organ transplantation at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2003 Dr. Halldorson was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington. In 2012 he joined the UCSD transplant group. He has now performed over 250 liver, 300 kidney and 30 pancreas transplants as lead surgeon with excellent results. Dr. Halldorson has authored numerous manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and is on the editorial board of several surgical journals.

Dr. Yu-Jui Yvonne Wan research program has been focusing on the role of retinoic acid receptors and other nuclear receptors in regulating liver health and diseases. The liver is the major retinoic acid target organ.Retinoic acid’s precursor (vitamin A) is stored in the liver, where the highest level of retinol binding protein and receptor (RXRα) is produced. Using the liver-specific RXRα-deficient mouse model that his laboratory has developed, he identified the novel role of retinoid-mediated pathways in lipid, carbohydrate, xenobiotic, and amino acid metabolism and homeostasis in health and various diseased states. In addition, he discovered other novel roles of hepatic RXRα in alcohol detoxification, steatosis, steatohepatitis, inflammation, as well as liver regeneration. These findings unequivocally established the functional significance of hepatic RXRα in regulating liver physiology and pathology.

Xiuli Liu, MD, PhD, is a professor and the director of gastrointestinal and liver pathology at the University of Florida Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine. With more than 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Liu is an expert gastrointestinal and liver pathologist with strong clinical and translational research in Barrett’s esophagus, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, including inflammatory bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic cancer and liver diseases.

Dr. Liu currently works in a multidisciplinary environment at UF and regularly interacts with gastroenterologists and hepatologists, as well as colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary and transplant surgeons. Prior to this, Dr. Liu practiced internal medication for five years, in addition to working in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary pathology at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Pathology, one of the busiest and demanding pathology departments in the United States. These combined experiences allow Dr. Liu to truly understand the clinical implication of pathologic diagnoses and guide treating physicians in selecting the most effective therapies for their patients.

An accomplished author, Dr. Liu has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, mostly focused on difficult and challenging entities in the gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary pathology. She has also written seven book chapters on the human esophagus; frozen interpretation of gastrointestinal specimens; and the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease and neoplasia, as well as colonic polyps.

Dr. Anil Mishra, PhD is Professor of Medicine and Endowed Chair, Edward G. Schlieder Educational Foundationin the Section of Pulmonary Diseases at Tulane School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA. He is also the Director ofEosinophilic Disorder Center at Tulane School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA. Dr. Mishra had an outstanding background, beginning with his distinguished education at Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India where he graduated with Bachelor of Science. Having excelled in science education, he then undertook PhD training at Kanpur University, Kanpur, India.

Dr. Vega was born and raised in The Bronx, NY. He graduated from Drew University in 1984 with a major in Zoology and Cornell University Medical College in 1988. Upon graduation, Dr. Vega completed internship/residency in Internal Medicine at the Boston City Hospital in 1991 and fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Temple University in 1995. After fellowship, Dr. Vega has been on the Gastroenterology faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, University of New Mexico, the University of Florida/Jacksonville, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and National Jewish Health prior to his arrival at Augusta University-Medical College of Georgia in 2018. Presently, he is Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Augusta University-Medical College of Georgia. In addition, Dr. Vega retired, in 2013, from the US Army National Guard at the rank of Colonel following 3 overseas deployments providing medical support for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Guandou Yuan received his M.D. degree in 2010, majored in Clinical Medicine of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), Wuhan, China. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in 2016 from Department of Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, HUST, whose mentor is the Academician of Chinese Academy of Science Xiaoping Chen. During his Ph.D., he also finished a Joint Ph.D. student program in Hematology/Oncology Division, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Department of Medicine, the University of Alabama at Birmingham in US from 2013 to 2016. Then he finished his residency training in Guilin Medical University Affiliated Hospital, Guilin, Guangxi and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Nanning, Guangxi, China from 2016 to 2019. Now he works as Attending Doctor in Division of Hepatobiliary Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. His general research interests are in the area of the role of complement in liver disease and the molecular mechanism of liver cancer. In particular, his current research focuse on liver cancer and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Andrei Korobeinikov got his PhD from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2001. Shortly after this he joined the Centre of Mathematical Biology of the University of Oxford as a research fellow of the New Zealand Foundation for Science, Research and Technology. In 2004 he was offered an Associate Professorship at Hokkaido University (Sapporo, Japan). In 2007 Andrei joined the newly established Mathematics and Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) in the University of Limerick (Ireland) as a Senior Research Fellow.
