She finished her Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology program of Michigan State University, East Lasing, USA, and developed her research interests in ethylene signaling. Then she worked in Qingdao Agricultural University, Qingdao, China, and focused her research on biochemical, genomics, functional genomics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics approaches to uncover the mechanisms in ethylene regulated salt response in plants.
