Blue Systems: Oceanography, Aquatic Chemistry & Marine Discovery

This Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences (JBRES) invites high-quality submissions that strengthen the evidence base for ocean and aquatic systems. We welcome work that advances aquatic chemistry & biogeochemistry, elucidates ocean-climate interactions, and demonstrates ecosystem & discovery impacts across marine environments and global change contexts.

Aquatic Chemistry & Cycles
Ocean acidification, nutrient cycling, trace metals, carbon sequestration, dissolved organic matter, redox processes, analytical methods.
Oceanography & Discovery
Physical & biological oceanography, deep-sea ecosystems, marine microbiomes, blue carbon systems, climate-ocean feedbacks, exploration technologies.

About this Special Issue

Marine and aquatic research is strongest when it connects rigorous chemical and physical understanding with ecosystem outcomes and global relevance. This Special Issue focuses on blue systems—from aquatic chemistry and biogeochemical processes to oceanography, marine discovery, and climate-linked impacts. We especially welcome submissions that report transparent methods, robust measurements, and insights that can improve ocean health monitoring, conservation, and sustainability.

Preference is given to studies with clear outcomes (e.g., carbon fluxes, pH trends, biodiversity metrics), robust analysis, and a concise “What this changes in practice” statement.

Topics of interest
