Summary

I hold a BSc in Medical science (Hons) degree in haematology obtained in 2016 from University of Limpopo. I also hold a Master’s degree in Medical Science in Physiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2019. Currently enrolled for PhD in Medical Science at the same institution with Major interests in cardiovascular disease and megaloblastic anaemia, including obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis. All this time, I have been assigned as haematology and physiology practical demonstrator and tutor for undergraduate and postgraduates (Hons) students in statistics and dissertation preparation, all of whom have successfully graduated with good scores.
I have conducted research and written and published few systematic reviews and meta-analysis on type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, and treatment associated with these conditions which are the main challenges worldwide and have published several manuscripts to the most reputable journals. I also have shown good team working ability where I have co-authored few manuscripts which are still under review for publication. I also have peer-reviewed for other journals, including American Journal of Biomedical and Life Sciences, BMJ Open Diabetes Research and Care, Medical Science Monitor and JMIR.
