Summary

Guandou Yuan received his M.D. degree in 2010, majored in Clinical Medicine of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), Wuhan, China. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in 2016 from Department of Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, HUST, whose mentor is the Academician of Chinese Academy of Science Xiaoping Chen. During his Ph.D., he also finished a Joint Ph.D. student program in Hematology/Oncology Division, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Department of Medicine, the University of Alabama at Birmingham in US from 2013 to 2016. Then he finished his residency training in Guilin Medical University Affiliated Hospital, Guilin, Guangxi and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Nanning, Guangxi, China from 2016 to 2019. Now he works as Attending Doctor in Division of Hepatobiliary Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. His general research interests are in the area of the role of complement in liver disease and the molecular mechanism of liver cancer. In particular, his current research focuse on liver cancer and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Right now he is also the Member and Deputy Secretary of Professional Committee of hepatobiliary surgeons of Guangxi Doctors Association, Member of Hepatology branch of Guangxi Medical Association and some other professional medical associations.
