Bronchiectasis is the medical condition where the passage ways of the lungs are permanently damaged, thickened or narrowed causing the accumulation of the mucus in the lungs. This condition may be carried forward by the genetic condition or caused due to any lung injury. Chronic daily cough, coughing up blood, abnormal sounds or wheezing in the chest with breathing, shortness of breath, chest pain, coughing up large amounts of thick mucus every day, weight loss, fatigue, change in the structure of fingernails and toenails, known as clubbing and frequent respiratory infections are the symptoms of this condition.

Research Contributions on bronchiectasis are compiled in science journals such as Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences that open new methodologies and scope for advancing bronchiectasis as a medical subject of significance. Scientists, researchers, health care experts, students and faculty of the related fields use these journals to analyze and draw new conclusions on this subject.
