Peritoneal Dialysis is the process of cleansing wastage from the blood vessels in case of kidney damage or failure. Though the most common dialysis method is hemodialysis, the difference lies in the filtration method of the waste from the blood. In peritoneal dialysis, a cleansing fluid flows through a tube (catheter) into part of your abdomen and the abdomen also known as peritoneum acts as the filter. The liquid then flows back from the body into the machine along with the wastes removed from the blood. A less stringent diet and long lasting kidney functions are the benefits of this dialysis method.

Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences is a Scholarly Peer-review Journal on Peritoneal Dialysis often used and cited by researchers, students, professors and scientists to develop the medical sciences through research and analysis. The unconstrained access to the journal’s content helps in easy publication and maximum usage of the knowledge stored in the journal.
