A mental health disorder characterized by persistent moods and lack of interest in daily activities affecting significantly the lifestyle of the sufferer. Various behavioral and physical symptoms help diagnose this mental disorder which comprises of changes in sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behaviour or self-esteem.

In the worst case scenario, depressive disorder can lead to suicide. Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences acts as an information platform for depressive disorders to help remove the stigma prevalent around such mental health issues and normalizing seeking psychological treatments. By providing unconstrained access to the journal’s content, researchers, medical care professionals and scholars are able to achieve advanced methods of treatment and diagnosis using the content as reference.
