Abstract

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is a frequent occurrence in obese patients [1-3] but also in the general population (3.5% in women and 2.0% in men [4]. Surveys via self-questionnaires in patients scheduled for bariatric surgery showed that BED occurred in 2% to 49% of the patients while subclinical binge eating behavior occurred in 6% to 64% of the patients [5].
