Postpartum Depression is the depression occurring in women as a consequence of childbirth. It is most commonly diagnosed within 4 weeks of childbirth caused by the physical, chemical and psychological changes caused by giving birth. Though most common to women, even the new fathers can experience this mental condition.
Trouble sleeping, Appetite changes, Severe fatigue, Lower libido, Frequent mood changes, Being uninterested in your baby or feeling like you’re not bonding with them, Crying all the time, often for no reason, Depressed mood, Severe anger and crankiness, Loss of pleasure, Feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, and helplessness are all symptoms of this condition. Along with symptoms, methods of treatment and diagnosis are discussed in open access journals like Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences which are to become the Manuscript Highlights of Postpartum Depression referred to be scientists, researchers, medical care professionals and academicians alike.
