Psychomotor retardation is the slowing down of thoughts and subsequently the physical motions or reactions related to it. It is a form of both mental and physical impairment interdependently. It is the most common consequence of depression and also the phase of depression in mental disorders like bipolar disorder. Psychiatric disorders like schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, psychiatric medications and diseases like Parkinson’s disease may be some of the causes of the mental condition.
Psychomotor retardation research funding papers and other articles can be found in open access journals like Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences. These are referred to by students, professors, researchers, mental health experts and academicians to advance the research, knowledge and information on such unpredictable mental illnesses.
