Sexually transmitted diseases are the conditions that are contagious through sexual contact. Also known as Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) or venereal disease (VD), these are not the consequence of having sex but also can be transmitted through needles and breastfeeding.

The simplest of these infections is Chlamydia and HIV can be considered harshest. Academic works about Sexually Transmitted Diseases help treat these conditions better.
