He is an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra - Coimbra Health School (IPC-ESTeSC) and Researcher at the University of Coimbra - Molecular Physics and Chemistry Research and Development Unit and at Labinsaúde - IPC-ESTeSC. He is currently the Coordinator of the Scientific-Pedagogical Unit of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences at ESTeSC, member of the School Council and member of the Technical-Scientific Council. Received 3 awards and/or honors. He works in the field of Medical and Health Sciences – Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies. He is co-editor of the Scientific Journal of the Academic Network of Health Sciences of Lusofonia – RevSALUS. He was a member of the Editorial Board and editor of the Portuguese Journal of Biomedical Sciences. Author and co-author of national and international publications, as well as oral communications and in poster form, with an index h=10. In his professional activities, he interacted with more than 50 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works.
