As an assistant teacher, he worked at the Workers’ University in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, during1982-1988. He taught some courses, such as general physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, electro-magnetics, optics, atomic and quantum physics and so on.As a lecturer in Harbin Institute of Technology during 1991-1995, he taught the fiber optics course for the undergraduate students. As an associate professor in Harbin Institute of Technology from 1995-2000, he has been teaching the fiber optics course. From 1999, he taught the fiber optics II course for the post-graduate students.As a professor in Harbin Institute of Technology from 2000-now, he taught the fiber optic course for the post-graduate students. And he became the doctoral superviser for Ph.D candidates from 2002.From 2001-2008 he taught the course of optical soliton in fiber the post-graduate students.From 2005 to now, he taught quantum optics for the post-graduate students.
