JBRES has a zero-tolerance policy on all forms of plagiarism and research misconduct.
Zero Tolerance
All manuscripts are screened using CrossRef iThenticate before peer review. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity are rejected without review.
Forms of Plagiarism
- Direct plagiarism — verbatim copying without attribution
- Paraphrasing plagiarism — restating ideas without attribution
- Self-plagiarism — reusing own published work without disclosure
- Image plagiarism — reproducing published figures without permission
- Duplicate publication — submitting the same paper to multiple journals simultaneously
- Salami slicing — artificially dividing one study into multiple publications
Similarity Thresholds
