Biography

Short Biography:I graduated as a Biologist at the State University of Maranhão (2015). Master’s Degree in Parasitology at Federal University of Minas Gerais (2018), where I am currently a Ph.D. student. I am also Professor at the Federal Institute of Maranhão (2016). I have experience in Helminthology and Immunoparasitology, with emphasis on schistosomiasis mansoni, acting in the following research: wild reservoirs; immunopathology, morphometry and morphology of Schistosoma mansoni; host-parasite interaction in Biomphalaria spp. (changes in the immune response, biological and parasitological aspects); epidemiological study and morbidity markers in populations from endemic areas; survey of mollusc vectors; evaluation of plant extracts with biological actions on vectors and with potential in the treatment and prophylaxis of schistosomiasis.Research Interest:1.
