Master’s degree in Biophysics(Environmental Biophysics – with maximum concept on Brazilian Higher EducationalPersonnel - CAPES) from Carlos Chagas Filho Biophysics Institute (UFRJ - 2016).Currently PhD student to conclude Doctoral degree in Biophysics in October 2020(Biophysics Institute – UFRJ). Develops scientific research in the Laboratory ofEcophysiology and Toxicology of Cyanobacteria (UFRJ) with emphasis on thecyanotoxins removal from water by abiotic / biotic aspects. In addition, as part of yourPhD Project it evaluate to the biological interaction between cyanobacteria andheterotrophic bacteria. As part of doctoral thesis spent 6 months at Robert GordonUniversity, United Kingdom, under supervision of Prof Christine Edwards and ProfLinda Lawton, which developed results about the biodegradation of cyanobacterial andnon-cyanobacterial peptides.Publication:"Biotic and abiotic factors affect Microcystin-LR concentrations in a coastal lagoon"SANTOS, A.A., RACHID, C.T.C.C., PACHECO, A.B.F., MAGALHAES, V.F.Article type: Original ResearchMicrobiological Research“Filterable bacteria able to degrade microcystinâ€SANTOS, A.A., KEIM, C.N., MAGALHAES, V.F., PACHECO, A.B.F.Article type: Original ResearchSubmitted on Water ResearchAwards:Best poster presentation at International Conference on Toxic Cyanobacteria (ICTC,Krakow, Poland, 2019)
