I am a Ugandan Veterinarian, I graduated with Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine(Makerere University Kampala, Uganda 2001), Master of Science Livestock Development Planning and Management (Makerere University Kampala, Uganda 2013), Post Graduate Diploma, Project Planning and Management (Kabale University, Kabale, Uganda 2012), PhD Animal and Food Hygiene; Majoring in Molecular Epidemiology of Protozoan Disease (Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan 2017) and Higher Education Teaching Certificate (Kabale University, Kabale Uganda 2020). I am Board certified as a Veterinarian by The Uganda Veterinary Board (2004, No. 712).Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer Animal Sciences and Head of Department AnimalSciences Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Kabale University, Kabale Uganda. I joined Kabale University in 2019 as Senior Lecturer Parasitology and Head of Biomedical Sciences Department Kabale School of Medicine. In 2020 February, Biomedical Sciences Department was split into 5 departments and I then went to head the Department of Microbiology Parasitology and Immunology until October when I was transferred to my current position.Before joining Kabale University, I served at Kampala International University, Kampala Uganda (2017 to 2020) as Senior Lecturer Microbiology and Dean Faculty of Biomedical Sciences. I also serve as a Consultant at Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi Uganda (since 2017) at the Faculty of Agriculture where I lecture and supervise MSc and PhD students. I have also served at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan (2014 to 2017) as Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at The National Research Centre for Protozoan Diseases, Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan and Institute of Veterinary Medicine Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.After graduation as a Veterinarian, I join the Service of The Government of Uganda as a Veterinary Officer with Rukungiri District (2002 to 2011), was later promoted to Senior Veterinary Officer and transferred to Mitooma District Local Government as District Veterinary Officer (2011 to 2014).Professionally, I am a member of; Uganda Veterinary Association (served as Assistant Treasurer 2012-2014), Japanese Society of Parasitologists and OIE Nontsetse Transmitted Trypanosomoses research group.Socially, I am a member of The Aids Support Organisation (served as Centre Advisory Committee Member, Rukungiri TASO Centre 2005-2011), Rotary Club of Rukungiri Central (served as club President 2011-2012) and Uganda Red Cross Society (served as Chairman Branch Governing Board Rukungiri 2010-2014 andMember Central Governing Board 2013-2014)
